Step-by-step

Select Avatar v4 from the product menu
Choose a pre-made avatar or upload your own image
Select a voice or use the default voice paired with the avatar
Input your script into the text box or upload an audio file
Place the cursor in the script and click Add Pause to insert breaks
Enable the Subtitles toggle in the settings if captions are desired
Toggle Off-peak mode if you want to save credits and don't need immediate generation
Click Generate and select your resolution and watermark preferences
Click Export to start the rendering process

Options

Create avatar from prompts via the image generation tab
Import images from existing assets
Upload an MP3 file for lip-syncing instead of using text-to-speech
Modify pronunciation by selecting words and describing the desired emotion
Describe specific motions for the avatar to perform (Beta feature)
Turn off the Topview watermark (requires specific subscription tiers)

Watch out for

If you upload an audio file, you cannot change the voice within the tool as it is baked into the MP3
Off-peak mode can take up to 24 hours to complete the generation

Tips

Use the pre-made avatar and voice pairings as they are designed to be a great fit visually and audibly
Use Off-peak mode to save 50% of the credit cost if you are not in a hurry
Enable the captions option for added convenience in video production
