GeminiTry it →Watch full video →Technology for Teachers and Students ·

Demo summary

The video shows how to manually insert a new scene, fill it with stock footage using the 'expand video' tool, and apply a dissolve transition.

Step-by-step

  1. Click the plus sign in the upper left to add a new scene.
  2. Click and drag the scene to the desired position in the timeline.
  3. Click on 'Stock' in the right panel to open the media search.
  4. Search for a keyword and click a result to add it to the scene.
  5. Right-click the video and select 'Expand video' to fill the scene perfectly.
  6. Click and drag the edges of the scene in the timeline to adjust the duration.
  7. Click the space between two scenes to open the transition menu.
  8. Select a transition type, such as 'Dissolve', to apply it.

Options

  • Manually stretch the video to fill the screen instead of using 'Expand video'
  • Choose between Fade, Push, Slide, Scale, Spin, or Flicker transitions

Tips

  • If you don't see the search panel, click the 'Stock' button to make it appear.
  • Stick with one or maybe two different transitions at the most for a professional look.

Highlights

I hadn't selected the right area where I should have to add this scene, but that's okay. I can click and drag and move the scene where I want it to actually be.
