Setting up brand templates in Opus Clip

Step-by-step

1. Select an existing brand template to edit or click to create a new one
2. Choose an aspect ratio such as 9:16 for vertical platforms or 1:1 for square posts
3. Set the clip layout to 'Fill' for full screen or 'Split' for interview-style podcast footage
4. Select a caption style and customize the font, color, and animation effects
5. Toggle AI features including 'Remove filler words', 'Highlight AI keywords', and 'Emojis'
6. Upload brand assets like logos, custom fonts, or intro/outro clips to the Asset Library
7. Click Save to apply the template as a default for future video uploads

Options

• Choose between 9:16, 1:1, 16:9, or 4:5 aspect ratios
• Enable 'Auto-generate stock B-roll' for AI-driven visual overlays
• Turn on 'Auto transitions' for smoother scene cuts
• Add a censored word list to automatically blur out specific language

Watch out for

• The auto-generate stock B-roll feature is not 100% accurate and may produce irrelevant footage

Tips

• Use the 'Split screen' layout specifically for podcast interviews to show both guests simultaneously
• Leave 'Auto-generate stock B-roll' off in the main template and enable it manually for individual videos to ensure quality control
• Remember that template presets are not permanent; you can override these settings for any individual video after it is processed
