Step-by-step

  1. Click the Record button to open the Camtasia Recorder
  2. Select Full Screen to capture the entire display
  3. Toggle the webcam on or off as desired
  4. Select the correct microphone from the audio dropdown
  5. Enable System Audio if you need to capture sounds coming from the computer
  6. Click the Record button to start the session
  7. Press F10 or click Stop to end the recording
  8. Save the recording to bring it into the editor

Options

  • Record screen and webcam simultaneously
  • Record system audio (background music/system sounds) over your voice

Watch out for

  • The system audio recording button may not exist on all systems

Tips

  • Use F10 as a keyboard shortcut to stop your recording quickly
