Step-by-step

Open the Canvas Editor from the left menu
Click Upload Image to add files from your computer or generation list
Enable the Select tool to move, scale, or rotate images

Use the Draw Mask tool to specify the exact area for AI modification
Enter a prompt at the bottom and click Generate
Select your preferred variation from the results

Options

Drop multiple images onto the canvas simultaneously
Use the Sketch tool to brush on the canvas
Use the Text tool to add text elements
Switch to the Erase tool if the Mask tool is not working well
Extend image borders by placing the generation frame outside the current image
Merge two images by erasing a subject's background and moving it onto another image

Watch out for

The AI can only analyze and work within the region delimited by the colored generation frame

Hold CTRL/CMD and use the mouse wheel to zoom
Hold the Spacebar to pan around the canvas
Use the Draw Mask tool to preserve specific subjects while changing backgrounds or details like hair color
When merging images, drop a mask where the two images meet and use prompt guidance to blend them
