Spline: Configure Point and Spot lights

The demo shows how to add Point and Spot lights to a scene, adjusting intensity, decay, and shadow blur properties.
Step-by-step
- Click the plus sign in the toolbar
- Navigate to the bottom of the menu to select Point or Spot light
- Position the light in the scene using the move and rotate tools
- Adjust the Color, Intensity, and Distance in the sidebar
- Toggle Cast Shadows and adjust the Resolution and Radius
- Modify the Blur property to control general shadow blurriness
- Adjust the Penumbra property to control blurriness across the distance of the shadow
Options
- Change the light color (e.g., blue, green, pink)
- Adjust Decay to specify light power at a distance
- Modify the Angle and Blur of the cone-shaped Spotlight
Tips
- Use Point lights for objects like car lights, house lamps, or traffic lights
- Use Spotlights to simulate artificial cone-shaped lighting like street lights
- Set Penumbra to zero if you want barely any blurriness to the shadow
- Use the Blur and Penumbra properties to achieve more realistic shadows
- Prioritize the Directional light for the biggest overall effect on a scene
